Unpleasant and unsightly, the cold sore is never welcome on our lips. It is manifested by skin lesions in the form of bubbles, like small blisters in the mouth.
Here are some simple and natural tips to avoid or treat it:
The ice cube:
To stop the growth of herpes, it is important to apply an ice cube wrapped in a handkerchief so as not to burn the skin, on the area of the mouth that itches for about ten minutes.
Honey :
Smear your lip regularly during the day and let it work for about 10 minutes. Then, wipe a wet cotton disc over your lip to rinse it gently
Toothpaste :
An emergency solution when you have nothing else on hand, which involves applying a little white toothpaste, if possibe herbal on the cold sore. What will dry it up and help it disappear.
Baking soda :
Dilute a teaspoon of dietary bicarbonate in warm water to make a paste and apply twice a day on the cold sore. Leave for half an hour and rinse.
Lemon juice:
Gently squeeze a cotton swab soaked in lemon juice on your cold sore for several minutes. Do not exceed three applications a day, because the juice is acidic!
Apple cider vinegar:
Put cider vinegar on a cotton disc and then gently press it on your cold sore for about ten seconds. Repeat the operation throughout the day to reduce it!
Garlic:
This antiseptic is ideal for drying herpes while disinfecting the skin. Cut a clove of garlic in half and rub half on the area to be treated for a few seconds, two to three times a day.
The essential oil:
Soak a cotton swab with an essential oil, either tea tree or niaouli, and pat your lip at the cold sore spot.
The aloe vera :
Aloe vera is very effective as an antibacterial product. Its application will prevent any potential infection, relieve pain and discomfort.
